🌍 French Language Pack for Hytale

French Language Support is a fan-made localization project by thedragon95, bringing full FR language support into Hytale.

Because Hytale doesn’t offer official localization yet, this mod lets French-speaking players enjoy the adventure with everything translated — UI, menus, and system text included.

Play the game — not guess the language.

⚠️ Important Notes

🔁 After every Hytale update, the language files may need to be reinstalled

🚫 Without CurseForge Launcher

1️⃣ Download and extract the ZIP file

You can install the files in two different ways:

🅰️ Option A – Place files directly in the language folder

Open this directory:

%AppData%\Hytale\install\release\package\game\latest\Client\Data\Shared\Language

Quick access:

Press Windows + E, paste the path into the address bar, hit Enter
or
Press Windows + R, paste the path, hit Enter

➡️ Move the extracted language files into this folder.

🅱️ Option B – Copy the full install folder

Take the extracted install folder and copy it to:

%AppData%\Hytale

👉 If Windows asks to replace files, confirm.

▶️ Launch Hytale

Start the game and switch the language to French in the settings if it isn’t already selected.

🧰 With CurseForge Launcher

1️⃣ Open the Hytale installation folder through the launcher
2️⃣ Go to:

UserData/Mods

3️⃣ Extract the ZIP archive
4️⃣ Copy the install folder into the main Hytale directory
5️⃣ Approve file overwrites if prompted
6️⃣ Start the game and choose French if needed
